Soooo...how much are your games?
If you are interested in a game, make an offer
(remove "spamnein"). I know a lot
of people are probably more comfortable with
fixed prices, but these are collectibles. As
such, their price will fluctuate as items fade
in and out of favor. Remember when Wishbringer
with the stone fetched premium prices? Offers
should be made in USD and should reflect the
amount for the game alone; shipping will be
added later. Please note that once a price
is agreed upon payment must be received within
10 days. After 10 days the item will be made
available to other customers.
2. What forms of payment do you accept?
PayPal, check, cashier’s check, or money
order. All international transactions must be
paid for via PayPal. (Sorry, my bank charges
extortionist fees for touching anything drawn
on a foreign bank, even if the funds are already
converted to USD.)
3. What about shipping?
I ship via the U.S. Postal Service and charge
the exact amount --no handling charges.
4. What if my item is lost or damaged
Unlike UPS, the U.S. Postal Service does
not automatically insure packages against loss or damage. I recommend
you purchase insurance for large dollar value sales/trades or if you simply
want to sleep worry-free. Once your package is in the hands of the postal
service I cannot take responsibility for lost or damaged items unless
insurance was purchased. I will usually quote optional insurance cost,
but feel free to ask.
5. Can I return the item?
Except for items listed in the “Newer Items” section, items
can be returned for up to 21 days after the postmark. Because items listed
in the “Newer Items” section are generally for playing, not
collecting, and they can be easily duplicated, they are nonreturnable.
Postage is nonrefundable. Items must be returned in the same condition
as when it was purchased.
6. Will you transfer the data on 5.25”
disks to 3.5” or CD?
I can transfer data from 3.5" disks, for a $7.00 service and materials fee per game. However, I will not
copy data from games and sell them without the game. Please note that
transferring the data doesn’t necessarily mean you will be able
to play the game off the new disks, as some older games built in copyright
protection techniques which may render data transfer useless. Unless the
package specifically says that it did not employ copy protection techniques,
I won't know ahead of time if the transfer is useable.
7. Are the disks tested?
Most media is by default UNTESTED, as items are assumed to be collectibles,
not playing copies. Some items I cannot test, as I don’t own an
Amiga or an Apple II.
I will test items listed in the “Newer Items” section before
a transaction is complete. Please be aware, however, that many of these
compilations will not function on newer operating systems and hardware.
Many, in fact, require a DOS operating system or a DOS emulator. A DOS
emulator can be found at http://dosbox.sourceforge.net.
Not all games will work using emulators, so I recommend a good foundation
in DOS and an operating system with DOS if you intend to play games which
have not been reprogrammed for newer operating systems.
